The main house is a grade II listed building which has a stylish wedding ceremony room, a luxury family sized kitchen and dining area, and a grand staircase leading to many fashionably decorated suites on the 1st and 2nd floors.
Most rooms in the main house have beautiful natural light and a jaw dropping view of the estate. The ceremony room is sophisticatedly designed and furnished, and which provides a great starting point for brides and grooms to add additional decorations if they like. As a florist, I honestly believe this room is more than perfect and ready to go, all I would possibly add may be a flower arch and perhaps a pair of flower pedestals at the end of the aisle.
The contemporary glass building has a sleek bar attached to it with modern seating and lighting, giving wedding guests a great place to mingle before and after the reception. The main part of the glass building is where the wedding breakfasts are hosted and can sit around 140 people. This area has an ultra-modern feel to it, but is tranquil at the same time because of the countryside view through those awesome ceiling-to-floor windows. To add the ‘cherry on the top’, there is even a DJ/musician’s booth/stage within this area to complete the celebrations. And who doesn’t love a glitter ball or two?!!
There are also plenty of different and super-Instagram-able outside spaces for photo opportunities and for wedding guests to chill. Guests can also book to stay in Sant Ffraed’s accommodation area next to the main house. This comprises an array of super-cute rooms, ideal for those who want to be close to the bar and garden.
All in all, I think this is a top-end, one-of-a-kind wedding venue, which will suit trendy couples who are into design and luxury. Equally, it is ideal for people who are looking for an all-in-one place that takes care of everything for you, and those who are after an elegant ‘once in the lifetime’ experience.
After having installed flowers in almost all the wedding venues in South Wales, I truly adore this one. From the moment I first caught sight of the swaying wheat in the fields as I approached up the driveway past the gate house, to the time I gasped as I caught the first glimpse of this impressive estate with an almost fairytale old church nearby.
