Set against the striking backdrop of Cardiff’s Temple of Peace, Danielle and Michael’s September wedding was the perfect blend of elegance, history, and golden seasonal charm.

This Grade II–listed Art Deco gem, built in 1938, offers a uniquely majestic setting. With its dramatic marble pillars, soaring ceilings, and rich architectural detailing, it created an unforgettable stage for this couple’s “I Do” moment.

A Palette Inspired by Autumn & Architecture of Temple of Peace

To reflect both the historic grandeur of the building and the soft warmth of early autumn, Danielle and Michael chose a colour palette of yellows, golds, and soft creams. The tones not only celebrated the season, but also subtly echoed the gilded chairs, stone textures, and golden ambient lighting of the venue’s impressive Marble Hall.

A Floral Arch to Remember

The undisputed showstopper of the ceremony space was the custom-designed wedding arch—a stunning composition of cheerful sunflowers, yellow garden roses, delicate white blooms, and textural greenery, all softened with flowing ivory draping. Set at the foot of the marble stage, it created a focal point that felt both romantic and stately.

Whether framed against the tall windows or standing out beneath the soft natural light, the arch brought joyful warmth into the space—perfectly framing the couple as they exchanged vows.

Understated Glamour with Windowsill Details

In keeping with Danielle and Michael’s vision for elegance without excess, the windowsills were lined with simple glass jars of seasonal flowers—sunflowers, roses, thistles, and meadow-like foliage—alongside tealights in glass votives. These small but thoughtful touches added an intimate, almost vintage charm to the grand interior.

A Venue with Meaning

Hosting their celebration at the Temple of Peace meant more than just beauty. As a building dedicated to peace, public health, and human rights, every wedding held here supports charitable work around the world—making it a venue with a message.

Conclusion

From the soft floral details to the dramatic architectural backdrop, Danielle and Michael’s wedding was a beautiful example of how thoughtful design, seasonal inspiration, and a meaningful venue can come together to create something truly timeless.

The Temple of Peace in Cardiff proved to be more than a wedding venue—it was a statement of style, substance, and love.
